Democracy, Diversity and Dialogue is under attack, ironically by the ones who are entrusted to safeguard these values. The very idea of India is under a challenge. The basic principle on which the party is founded is to strengthen India as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, and Democratic Republic and to secure to all its citizens Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity assuring the dignity of individual and the unity of the nation as resolved in the preamble of the constitution of India.
